Today I was walking down the isle of my drugstore and noticed one thing...well i did not notice it until after I got home..but it all started from that isle od the store..=p
So anyways, I have been on a hunt for a really good deodorant for a while now..and while looking for a deodorant my sister asked me to try a certain deodorant and i rejected it saying it only looks good but it sucks!!lol
It clicked me as i reached home that how many times has it been that we go to the drugstore to find any new product and get caught up in wither the price range, or the packaging, or the gimmicky false overstated products which in the end are not worth our money or choice ...
Not only this but also ...so many products get un noticed from our sight due to so many reasons which can actually be so much better than the ones we buy over and over again assuming that this is all the market is providing...
well, I dont know about you guys but I have definitely gone through stages when I have ignored such great products from right in front of my sight...and have totally given into products that wouldnt even be worth looking at..
So this is going to be a series on drugstore Beauty products that are worth and worth not trying.
So I am going to be posting at least 3 times a week for this month reviewing (very briefly) whether the product is worth a try or not..
Alright so lets begin with this 1st product...
since I am a huge addict to nice scents and a phobia-tic to smelling bad..it shouldnt come as a surprise when I say I have almost tried all of the drugstore deodorants...However I am going to be talking about a couple I have on hand and I am currently using...
(Disclaimer: reason why I bought so many deodorants was because I usually like t stock up on my grocery and other belongings so I have to only visit the store once or twice a month instead of visiting it once a week or whatever...)
Since I had bought so many different kinds I decided to try each one of them...lol
So I have been using these deo's for a while now..hoping from one to the other...:p
I have recently been obsessed with dove..as I loved their shower gels from the go fresh line...
I decided to give their matching deodorants a try as well...
I must say the packaging is quite good...I am impressed with it because usually in roller balls what happens is that the product gets settled in the base and fails to touch the ball hence you either have to shake to get it t the top or if youre like and get tired of it...you throw it away wasting whatever's left in the bottle...
Dove has come up with a good solution of packaging the bottle upside down which helps the product to stay close to the ball...availing every single drop of it..:)
It is also very sleek and quite small...so it fits nicely in your purse or bag making it travel friendly..for me my swimming bag...
However, I just HATE the fact that it claims to stay on for 24 hours but fails to even stay for 6...:(
which is very sad because I honestly love the scents..but I must say their staying power is beyond weak..:(
Nevertheless, back in winters when I would use it...i did not almost never, I recall (as I would swear by their staying power) had to re apply it...but in summers it definitely can not be the very best friend of yours..=p
Now the question is whether I will purchase it again??
YES I would..just because I carry it in my purse with me..and I re apply it whenever possible...as I love the scents..:)
I would however, rate this product on a scale of 1 to 10 ...(10 being the best) as a 6.5.
There are two reasons why you purchase a deodorant...1. for its scent and 2. for an anti-perspirant. it passes in one but fails in another(but keeping in mind..that it did not fail on me in winters)...Thus a 6.5!!
Talking about their aerosol sprays I would rate them as 7 as I love their scents specially the red one....OMGGG its just amazing!!
It smells almost like a garden with an overpowering rose (on me at least..)
So that is my third bottle..:p
Where staying power is concerned yes it does stay on for a decent amount of time...I can say if not 24 hours ..definitely for 18...which isn't bad at all!! provided you apply it on your body and a generous amount!!
The price is definitely affordable...not expensive just the regular drugstore pricing..:)
Adidas and Nike deodorants are a favorite of mine!!
I have been using them since a year now...this is my 3rd or 4th bottle..of each!! lol
I am crazily obsessed with scents...llol
watch my whats in my bag blog and youll prolly know what I am talking about...=p
My favorite is the dark green bottle from adidas just love ittttt :D
I would give them an 8 as their scents are good so are their staying power..:)
Since my blog is beauty related I'll stick to reviews like these for products in this category..and maybe here and there I'll add other fun products as well...:)
