Weekly Update!

Its Friday..the 27th of May 2011.

I have decided to do these every week, where I will list down all my past week's activities and other important stuff. This way I feel I'l be able to do much more than just waste my holidays.
Even though I won't be studying, but I want to do something constructive, things I cannot do while I go to university. This will, I feel keep me on my toes ( well maybe not that much..but somewhat..=p) as I would know that I'm reporting to my blog every week.

So my exams ended last week, Friday the 20th of May 2011.

Friday, being the last day of my exams..
I was extremely happy and excited..who wouldn't be??..after whole 5 months of terrified and studious hours put in.
I was relieved!!..=p
So I thought to put all the energy into good use..so I went for swimming with my little sister.
Which was fun..as it had been quite long since I had been to a pool, as my exam schedule and all the revising kept me so busy.

Saturday, the next day..
usually i would sleep through the whole day as the exam tension and studying has drained so much sleep and rest out of you, but I woke up, early as I had made it my goal, not waste time tucked into bed all mornings, as not only does that cause weight gain but also makes me lazy not wanting to do much as I have slept a lot ehih ends up wasting my whole day.
I started reading Harry Potter the first book all over again.
As the last movie comes out on 15th of July 2011..and all that hype around me, has kicked me back into the stream of the craziness of being all harry potter...lol
Enjoying every bit of it ..=p

Sunday, I went with my mom for shopping...extensive shopping so that was an entire day gone into that.
I went shopping and ran some errands that included all the items that we would be needing for our vacations abroad.

Monday to Tuesday, was not very interesting, apart from the fact that I was done with the first book of Harry Potter and now dying to read the next one..but sadly its already been borrowed by someone else at my local library..:(
I will check in back at the library today some time..just in case they've had it back..

Wednesday,
Its been a year to two now, since I wanted to eat sushi but just never gathered that much courage..=p..Until Wednesday when I finally gave in...
I know its kind of insane not having sushi, considering its such a popular item..and something that just cannot be ignored...and for a person like me who loves to try new cuisines it really is unbelievable, but honestly
I was always skeptical about trying this part of the Japanese cuisine...as the whole idea of raw fish just did not suit my food genre of interest.
Unlike, the rest of the times when I would chicken out, feeling embarrassed about what people would say if I asked this question..I finally ordered it..on asking how the sushi was made and all...the man turned out to be quite friendly and very kindly explained to me what it basically was..and suggested I should give the "prawn tempura sushi" a try..
And I loved itttttttttttttttt...=)
I loved it so much that I ended up ordering an extra one...as a parcel to eat the next day..=p
I feel like I am now addicted to it..and man was i missing so much..!!
I'm glad I made this little discovery of mine..=)
Just to stay up to my fitness routine I tried doing some cardio as well..

Thursday, Sore from the previous days exercise...I now regret trying cardio..I am totally a water-aerobic girl...but I got a little to adrenaline-atic.. i suppose=p and ended up doing a lot more than I should have..
Even though it was quite hard for me to walk bend or even sit..i still managed to make the most of my day..
I baked from 5 in the afternoon to 8 o clock at night..and am so happy with the result of my baking..as I was trying something totally different called "cake pops" .

Friday,
Did not do much...as I am sitting, typing here..=p
My Library attempt failed again..!:( ..As the book is not yet retrieved by them..
anyways maybe tomorrow then...*fingers crossed*

So following my healthy eating life- style , getting up early in the morning, being generally active, reading, and working on my business plan....
I must say I am pretty happy with my past week of holidays...
and it seems like a good start..:)
Hopefully I will be able to carry it on..and do much more with the time I have now on my hands..!!:)

French Manicure- Professional style at Home!!

Finally, I am writing this..*phew*
Exams have ended..and even though they ended last week, here I am blogging almost a week later..lol
Now that all my rest seems to be complete I can catch up on all my pending work.
To start off..
This review..:) which has been kept in waiting for a while now..=p

Anyways, this set sorta found me, I did not find it!
lol
A friend of mine brought it for me as a gift from London.
I always wanted to get French manicures and pedicures...but the whole idea of going to a salon..sitting there doing nothing while the girls there paint your nails never made sense to me.
And never did I even think to do it myself until I got this box.
Which is seriously amazing!!
I love it so much , that I wanna preserve it forever...hehehe!! maybe il make it drink the Elixir of life..!!

French Manicure Kit
The box contains the following things:
It has 3 nail polishes.

  - white
  - clear
  - pink

The white one is to obviously paint the tip of your nails. The pink one is basically just a wash of translucent pink which i like to apply after im done applying the white tips as I personally feel it gives a much neater look! but technically it should be done before, and the last one is the top coat to make sure your manicure lasts longer.
Left Side
The polishes are not very high quality though, but they do stay on pretty well. However, I have to apply 2 coats in order to get a much defined look.

Press-on guides:

This is the phenomenal product of this box.
Or rather the star of the box.
What makes it possible to achieve the salon like effect at home in just about 15 minutes or so.
They are just plain white sticker that are cut in the shape of a crescent moon that fit just perfectly onto the nails securing the rest of the nail from the white polish. It makes the application very precise by keeping the white in place for that crisp line at your tips.
After the polish dries or semi- dries, I peel the sticker off and apply the pink coat followed by the clear top coat.

Pencil:

Another very interesting thing that this box contains is a white pencil, that is basically a nail crayon with which I can draw on to my nails, which forms as a guide for me to put the white polish where necessary.
And once I'm done with it I can just erase the pencil and it comes right off, before i go on applying the rest of the polishes.
Right side

On the other side of the box are a few miscellaneous items that are ideal for travelling purposes.
They are as follows:

          - Nail Remover Pad
          - Fingers Separator
          - Buffer
          - Tweezers/ Clippers
          - Mirror

This is what it looks from the inside.
The final result ..with which I am sooooo HAPPY!

Final Result
Love this product and definitely recommend it!!:)
